Hi my name is Louise Klitgård and I am 17 years old. I live in a suburb called Tårnby which is quite near the capital Copenhagen. My neighbourhood have a lot of houses and not as many flats as in the city, but we do have some. I have a mom named Ida, a dad named Ebbe, a sister named Laura and a dog named Viktor (now he is dead). I live in a house with my dad and with my mom I live in a flat near a major shopping centre.
Besides going to school I play football about 3-4 times a week (I am not playing football now, but I work at a restaurant, washing the dishes, eating their food etc.) and I play the guitar as often as I can, I am not very good though. When I don’t play football or play the guitar I do my homework and hang out with my friends. All of my old friends go to another high school than me so I don’t see them as often as I would like to, but then it’s good to have some good friends here at Rysensteen. After I started at Rysensteen I have gained a lot of new friends, I only knew 3 other persons when I started and only one of them was someone I talked a lot with, that is Nicolai who also goes in my class, so I had to meet a lot of new people. When I’m going to school I bike to the train with one of my old friends as we have done for many years. In the train I meet up with Alma and Nicolai from my class and three other girls from another class. We call ourselves “The morning club” – and yes, we know that’s lame. But it’s quite funny so we don’t mind. In the morning it actually only take about 20 minutes for me to go to school even though I live about 11 kilometres from Rysensteen.
I love to go to school here at Rysensteen because of all the democracy we have here. We often have hearing where we take part of the decisions that are to be made. I am quite interested in politics and therefore I like to take part of the discussions in class about the politics in Denmark. Also I really like the gym lessons because it can be a nice break from all the lessons where we sit and stare into our computers. But that actually can be fun too. I chose to study language because I really love to learn about other cultures and other ways to talk and I think that my parents work have affected me as well. They both teach English at a university in Denmark, so I have always liked English. When I first started here I didn’t want to study English, French and Spanish, because I thought it was a lot of languages, but I have really come to like Spanish so now there’s no way back! I can’t wait to go to Argentina and meet all of you and learn about your lifestyle - I can imagine it must be different from ours. Anyway, can’t wait to meet you and hope it will be (super duper) fantastic!
